Elaine Witton BEd (Adult), Guild member ASC, has taught calligraphy and allied crafts face-to-face and online in Australia and Europe for over 30 years. She has taught at WEA since 1990. Elaine has a passion for calligraphy in all its forms, traditional and modern and uses these skills as a professional exhibiting artist.  She is an adept teacher who shares her enthusiasm for calligraphy with her students. She uses various teaching methods including the introduction of practical projects. Elaine encourages all skill levels, enjoyment of the art being her main aim.

Terence Wong is a senior, professionally qualified consultant with significant management experience and a diverse background that includes expertise in wine and technology. His academic qualifications include a Master of Viticulture and Wine Technology from Melbourne University, as well as an MBA, and Masters degrees in Electronic Commerce and Information Technology.

In the wine industry, Terence has demonstrated wine consulting knowledge from vineyard selection and winemaking to marketing, coupled with business acumen in wine trade, export and import, food and wine pairing. He is an accredited wine educator who has worked with the Bordeaux Wine School (Ecole du Vin de Bordeaux) for ten years, and has been a wine writer for press media. His professional experience also spans various roles in the technology sector, including Business Solution Manager at Computer Sciences Corporation and Solution Architect at Electronic Data Systems Corp., where he managed complex projects and teams across the Asia Pacific region.

Complementing his professional and academic pursuits, Terence Wong has trained by WuDang Masters from the original WuDang Mountain in China in Tai Chi and martial arts and has been practicing Tai-Chi for more than 9 years.

Jun Wu (MEc, BEng) graduated from one of the top universities in Beijing with majors in Management Information Systems and Economics. Since then, he ran his own consulting and market research company in Beijing serving clients globally for over a decade and after emigrating to Australia in 2000, he has also worked as a successful share broker, investment banker and is currently running his own property agency with a focus on local vendors and Chinese background buyers. His teaching experience includes face to face seminars in share trading and property investment, with his teaching style focusing on clear communication and open collaboration. His experiences help inform his wide understanding of both Mandarin and English which allows him to teach Mandarin through its real-life application in daily life and business.

A Cuban-American-Australian, Marivic Wyndham did her studies at the Australian National University in Canberra, including her PhD (1996) on Australian history and culture. She worked for eighteen years at the University of Technology Sydney, where she coordinated and taught in the Spanish Language and Culture Program, School of International Studies and Education of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences.  She has published widely in the field of place studies, focusing on the politics of memorialisation in Chile and custodianship of place in Cuba.  Her co-authored book, Narrow but Endlessly Deep: the struggle for memorialisation in Chile since the transition to democracy (2016) was later published in Spanish, Sin Descansar en mi Memoria:  la lucha por la creación de sitios de memoria en Chile desde la transición a la democracia (2017).

Alice Xu has a BFA and MFA from the National Art School and has been practicing and teaching art for many years, specialising in oil painting figurative and landscape works about the everyday. She is an experienced artist garnering numerous awards and works displayed and collected at respected galleries and collections such as the Art Galley of NSW, National Art School and University of Sydney. Alice's style of teaching caters to the personal growth and individual needs of each student, sharing great technical skills and knowledge in various aspects of drawing and painting.
