Discounts

All discounted prices listed in our course catalogue or on the website are calculated from the full fee of the course or event into which you are enrolling. If you are eligible for a discount, you cannot combine this with additional discounts; whichever entitles you to the lowest discounted price will apply. Applications for a reduction of fees on the grounds of hardship will be considered. These need to be made in writing to the Education Manager and will be treated in strict confidence.

If you enrol into a course without claiming an eligible discount at the time of enrolment, you will not be able to request a reimbursement or have it retroactively applied to your enrolment.

WEA Sydney may occasionally provide a code which entitles you to receive a discount for eligible courses. These need to be added each time you enrol by typing in the case-sensitive code and then pressing the Add Code button for it to apply. To add eligible discounts to your student account when enrolling, please refer to our How to Enrol page.

You are eligible for a 10% discount if you are:

  • An aged pensioner or Seniors card holder
  • A full-time student; jobseeker; person with disability; sole parent or veteran
  • A member of the following Affiliated Organisations:
    • Retired Teachers Association (NSW Branch)
    • Shop, Distributive and Allied Employees Association (NSW Branch)
    • The NSW Teachers Federation
    • Transport Workers Union of NSW

WEA Members are eligible for a 12.5% discount if they have a current 1 Year or 3 Year Membership. This discount does not apply to Vocational Training / Discussion Group courses, or courses held in association with external organisations. Vouchers

WEA Sydney vouchers can be used as either full or partial payment for courses and events listed in our course catalogue or on the website. There are no restrictions on how many vouchers you can use to pay for your enrolment. When enrolling in-person or over the phone, let us know that you have a voucher you wish to use and we will apply it to your enrolment. If enrolling on the website you will need to add in the case-sensitive code on the Payment page and press Apply Code for it to apply.

Gift Vouchers
Give the gift of learning to a loved one, a friend, or just someone you feel would enjoy one of our many WEA Sydney courses and events. You can purchase a Gift Voucher by clicking on the 'Purchase Gift Voucher' button and following the instructions listed, or by contacting us in-person, by phone or email.

Voucher Policy

  • Once a voucher has expired, it cannot be reissued.
  • If you choose to withdraw from a course, any voucher used to pay for that course cannot be reimbursed.
  • Credit vouchers can only be reclaimed for a refund within 3 months from its date of issue.
  • Vouchers cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • A voucher cannot be used to pay for WEA Sydney membership or used as a donation to WEA Sydney.
