Continue developing your beginner Swedish fluency and confidence with our Beginner Swedish: A1.2 Course, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner Swedish: A1.1 Course or have approximately 20 hours of prior study. This course helps you strengthen your communication skills for everyday situations while deepening your understanding of Swedish grammar and vocabulary, making it ideal for learners wanting to learn the Swedish language for travel, work, or personal enrichment in a supportive, interactive learning environment.

You will learn to shop and interact in retail and restaurant settings, discuss prices, talk about leisure activities and family relationships, describe daily routines, and plan free-time activities with others. Grammar and vocabulary are taught in context, covering modal verbs, present and past tense, future with ska, adjective agreement, possessive and object pronouns, and basic Swedish word order. Phonetics is integrated throughout, with practice distinguishing key Swedish vowels (o, å, a, i, y, u) and mastering compound-word stress patterns to develop clear and confident speech in Swedish.

  3. Improve pronunciation and expand core vocabulary, focusing on Swedish vowel contrasts (o, å, a, i, y, u), compound-word stress, and vocabulary related to shopping, food, leisure, family, and daily routines.
