Continue developing your beginner Italian fluency and confidence with our Beginner Italian: A1.2 Course, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner Italian: A1.1 Course or have approximately 20 hours of prior study. This course helps you strengthen your ability to communicate in everyday situations while expanding your understanding of Italian grammar and vocabulary. It is ideal for learners interested in learning Italian for cultural interest or personal enrichment in a supportive and interactive learning environment.
You will practise everyday communication such as ordering food and drinks in cafés and restaurants, making polite requests, talking about free time and preferences, asking and telling the time, and interacting in simple social situations. Grammar and vocabulary are taught in context to help you ask questions, express likes and routines, and build simple conversations using common verbs, articles, and basic sentence structures. Phonetics is integrated throughout the course, with focused practice on affirmative and interrogative intonation, key consonant sounds such as c and g, and the pronunciation of double consonants to help you develop clearer and more confident spoken Italian.
