Francesco Borghesi

Resume

Francesco Borghesi holds degrees from the University of Bologna (Italy) and Brown University (USA). He is currently the Chair of the Department of Italian Studies at the University of Sydney, where he has been teaching courses, among other subjects, on Dante since 2010. His research addresses the diffusion of philosophical ideas in European history, especially between the thirteenth and the sixteenth century, and places itself at the intersection of the histories of philosophy, religion, and literature.

Natalia Borisova

Natalia Borisova gained her initial degree in Malta, followed by her more specialist degree in International Studies from the University of Western Sydney, and then her Masters degree in Business and Commerce from the same institution. She is currently finalising her doctorate by research at the University of NSW. During her studies, she tutored undergraduates both within the degree structure and privately, and she also held a temporary lectureship for 3 months at Moscow University.

Carolina Bosenberg

Carolina, tutor, facilitator, BA and MA in English and Spanish, has taught in several Spanish schools, Universities and has worked as a Spanish and Intensive Course teacher at WEA for 3 years. In her 10+ years in teaching Tertiary and Adult Education, she has grown a passion for languages and her knowledge of various levels of Spanish, English, German, Portuguese and French has helped her understand her students' language learning journey and plan programs and lessons that lead them to the best possible learning experience. Carolina enjoys helping students accomplish their goals by making her classes relevant, fun, and engaging, while covering all the essential concepts needed to learn a new language. As travelling is one of her main passions, she enjoys learning about other cultures and engaging in discussions regarding Intercultural Communication and Cultural Diversity in her classes.

Kassandra Bossell

Kassandra Bossell holds an MFA (Research) from UNSW Art and Design, 2018, Bachelor Visual Arts, University of Sydney, 1990 and a Bachelor of Arts from University of Sydney, 1986. She exhibits nationally and internationally, creates public art and works with urban and regional communities. Her public commissioners include Inner West Council, Sydney Opera House, Melbourne Museum, Opera Australia, Powerhouse Museum, National Museum of Australia and City of Sydney and she has lectured at the National Art School and held workshops at numerous universities, colleges and festivals around Australia.


Kassandra has completed several residencies, been selected for numerous prizes and won the 2007 Darwin Film Festival ‘Out There’ and 1995 Liverpool Hospital Public Art Competition. Bossell was awarded an Australian Postgraduate Award, 2017, an Art on the Greenway Grant, Leichhardt Council, 2016, an Artist to Artist Grant, NT Arts 2010, a Regional Art Grant, 2007 and a Pat Corrigan Grant, 1993.

Michael Box

Michael has 30 years teaching University Physics at UNSW, with a special interest in Atmospheric Science and has over 100 peer-reviewed publications, mostly in this field. He is the co-author of Physics of Radiation and Climate for final year Physics students. He has also worked for NASA and been involved with many satellite projects.

Brian Brennan

Resume

Dr Brian Brennan holds a PhD from Macquarie University and a MA in Classical Studies from the University of Melbourne. He is a specialist in Later Roman History with a particular interest in Roman architecture and classical revivalism. He has taught in High Schools, TAFE and at a number of Universities. He has published text books and a range of articles in academic jounals.

Giorgia Bresciani

Giorgia comes from a town close to Milan, in the North of Italy. She grew up happily surrounded by art and teaching environments thanks to her two parents. She finished her teaching Diploma (Socio-Psycho-Pedagogy Diploma) and soon started working in a day-care center. Looking to challenge herself and be fascinated with foreign countries, she decided to move abroad and travel to Australia and England. Once back in Australia, she achieved her Certificate IV and Diploma in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) qualifications in Sydney, NSW. Here she started working in different language schools, teaching students of all ages and language levels, and tutoring for HSC and IB preparation. Her motto is: "Learning a language can change your life!"

Jan Broe

Jan Broe’s wide training includes teaching diplomas in Speech and Drama Teaching as an Associate of the London College of Music, and of Trinity College London. She is a member of a wide variety of professional training associations, including the Australian Voice Association, the Australian Speech Communication Association, the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Institute of Training and Development. She has tutored and trained in a vast range of institutions and industries, including corporations, municipal councils, hospitals and community groups.
