Start your intermediate Russian learning journey with our Intermediate Russian: B1.1 Course, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner Russian: A2 Conclusion course or have approximately 160 hours of prior study. This course helps you expand your ability to communicate more confidently in Russian while strengthening your understanding of key grammar and vocabulary needed for everyday conversation. It is ideal for learners interested in learning Russian for cultural interest or personal enrichment in a supportive and interactive learning environment.

You will practise communication in situations such as introducing yourself and others, addressing people formally and informally, discussing personal background and interests, and describing people's appearance and character. Grammar is taught in context and includes further work with case usage for nouns, adjectives, and pronouns, conjunctions used in complex sentences, reflexive possessive structures, and the foundations of Russian word order. Vocabulary development focuses on language used to describe biographies and personal traits, express likes and dislikes, and manage everyday social interactions such as greetings, farewells, and asking for clarification, helping you communicate more confidently in Russian.
