Continue developing your beginner Russian fluency and confidence with our Beginner Russian: A2.1 Course, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner Russian: A1 Conclusion course or have approximately 100 hours of prior study. This course helps you expand your ability to communicate in everyday situations while strengthening your understanding of essential Russian grammar and vocabulary. It is ideal for learners who want to use Russian for travel, cultural interest, or personal enrichment in a supportive and interactive learning environment.

You will practise everyday communication such as greeting and introducing people, discussing family relationships and personal interests, describing people and experiences, and expressing opinions, agreement, or encouragement in conversation. Grammar and vocabulary are taught in context to help you form more complex sentences, talk about past events, and describe people and relationships using a wider range of grammatical structures. Phonetics is integrated throughout the course, with focused practice on stress patterns, key consonant sounds, and common pronunciation features of Russian to help you develop clearer and more confident spoken Russian.
