Available Classes
Marie Antoinette epitomised French 18th century fashion and style. This talk will draw from a current V & A Museum, London exhibition called Marie Antoinette Style, which features textiles such as dresses, shoes, and jewellery both of hers and of designers influenced by her style. We will extend this visual feast to include an analysis of the extensive number of her richly painted portraits, by various artists during her reign, in an endeavour to detail the person behind the enduring image.
