An introduction to Korean suitable for learners who would like to achieve a basic but solid understanding of the language. This course provides an enjoyable learning experience through cultural contexts. It will introduce basic conversational and written Korean.

COURSE OUTLINE
- Basic greetings; Hangeul characters
- Basic Sentence structures
- Topic makers, subject markers, and place markers
- Question words; Possessives
- Sino-Korean numbers and native Korean numbers
- Expressing time with time markers
- Counting items; Reading prices
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this course, students should be able to:
- Understand and use basic greetings
- Read and write Korean alphabet (Hangeul/Hangul)
- Count items with appropriate rules
- Communicate in basic Korean sentences
LANGUAGE CLASS TRANSFER POLICY
If you are a new WEA Student and enrol into a language class and subsequently find that you are at the wrong level (whether too high or too low), you are permitted to transfer into another more suitable class at no additional cost, provided that the request is made within the first two classes and is in writing from your tutor directly to the Education Manager. After that point, an administration fee of $30 will apply.
