Continue developing your beginner French fluency and confidence with our Beginner French: A2.5 Course, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner French: A2.4 Course or have approximately 160 hours of prior study. This course helps you strengthen your communication skills for everyday situations while deepening your understanding of French grammar and vocabulary, making it ideal for learners wanting to learn the French language for travel, work, or personal enrichment in a supportive, interactive learning environment.

You will learn to compare language-study trips, manage basic administrative procedures, organise itineraries, request information, and describe places and accommodation with greater precision. Grammar and vocabulary are taught in context, including comparison structures, direct and indirect object pronouns (y, en, COD/COI), negation forms such as ne… plus and ne… jamais, expressions of obligation, and relative pronouns like qui, que, and avec qui. Phonetics is integrated throughout, with practice o the different pronunciations of plus, mastering the nasal vowels [ɑ̃] and [ɛ̃], and using clear intonation when expressing rules and recommendations to develop clear and confident speech in French.

  • Negation (ne… plus, rien, personne, jamais...)
  • Adverbs and adverbial expressions used to describe a place
  • Relative pronouns qui, que (or qu’), à qui, avec qui to give details

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Compare language-study trips, organise itineraries, complete simple administrative tasks, request information about accommodation, and describe places in detail.
  2. Use key grammar structures confidently, including comparison forms, direct and indirect object pronouns (y, en, COD/COI), negation patterns, expressions of obligation, and relative pronouns.
  3. Improve their pronunciation by mastering the different pronunciations of plus, nasal vowels [ɑ̃] and [ɛ̃], and the intonation patterns used to express obligation while expanding practical vocabulary linked to travel, accommodation, city locations, and cultural activities.
