Sydney Harbour has witnessed more than two centuries of exploration, commerce, tragedy and change. This fascinating course uses the remains of ten shipwrecks as windows into Sydney's European history, tracing the city's development from the arrival of the First Fleet through the age of sail, steam and modern naval activity. Combining archaeology with history, participants will discover how these forgotten vessels continue to tell stories about the people, industries and events that shaped Sydney.
