Continue building practical Spanish communication skills with our Beginner Spanish: A1 Conclusion, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner Spanish: A1.3 Course or have approximately 60 hours of prior study. This course brings together the communication skills developed throughout A1 while introducing new situations such as describing towns and neighbourhoods, giving directions, discussing abilities and talking about recent experiences.

You'll build greater confidence navigating everyday situations while describing places, asking for and giving directions, discussing personal strengths and talking about what you've done. Grammar continues to develop naturally through communication, introducing the present perfect tense, location language and useful verb structures for expressing ability and experience.

DELIVERY MODE

Language courses are offered in two delivery modes:

• Face-to-Face: WEA Sydney
• Online: via Zoom or Microsoft Teams

Communication

• Talking about villages, neighbourhoods, and cities
• Talking about what you like most about a place; expressing tastes and highlighting aspects
• Asking for and giving directions
• Talking about past experiences; skills and abilities; strengths and weaknesses

Grammar

• Quantifiers: algún, ningún, mucho…
• Prepositions and adverbs of place: a, en, al lado de, lejos, cerca…
• Past tense: pretérito perfecto
• Verb structures: poder / saber + infinitive

Phonetics

• Sounds: /p/, /t/, /k/ (contrast)
• Vowel combinations: diphthongs

Vocabulary

• Services and places in cities; professions; skills and abilities
• Adjectives to describe neighbourhoods and cities; personality
• Quantifiers

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

1. Communicate in Spanish about places, directions, and personal experiences with increasing confidence.
2. Use key grammar structures such as past tense forms, quantifiers, and ability expressions with improved accuracy.
