Start your beginner Spanish learning journey with our Beginner Spanish: A1.1 Course, suitable for complete beginners with no prior experience of Spanish. You will learn to greet others formally and informally, ask for and give personal information, express intentions, and talk about languages and activities. Grammar and vocabulary are taught in context, covering definite and indefinite articles, personal pronouns, present tense verbs (ser, tener, llamarse, and regular -ar, -er, -ir verbs), gender in nationalities and professions, and uses of por, para, and porque. Phonetics is integrated throughout, with practice in vowel pronunciation, connectors, and intonation for partial questions and answers, to help you sound natural and confident from the very beginning.

Grammar

  • Gender in nationalities and professions
  • Definite articles (el, la, los, las) and indefinite articles (un, una, unos, unas)
  • The presente de indicativo
  • Verbs: ser, tener and llamarse; Ending in –ar, -er, -ir
  • Uses of por, para and porque

LEARNING OUTCOMES
