This course helps you build stronger communication skills for everyday situations while expanding your understanding of Spanish grammar and vocabulary. It is ideal for learners interested in learning Spanish for cultural interest or personal enrichment in a supportive and interactive learning environment.
You will practise communication in situations such as describing physical appearance and relationships, talking about housing, and locating objects in space. Grammar is introduced naturally in context, including comparative structures, possessive pronouns, and key verb uses such as ser and estar. Vocabulary and pronunciation are integrated throughout, covering descriptions, housing, and everyday interactions, along with important consonant sounds and combinations.

Communication
- Identifying and describing people physically
- Talking about relationships and similarities between people
- Expressing likes and preferences; describing a house
- Comparing and expressing coincidence
- Locating objects in a space; describing objects
Grammar
- Verb forms: irregular present (c > zc); verbs gustar, encantar, preferir
- Determiners and structures: este, ese, aquel; el / la / los / las + que + verb
- Structures: expressing relationships (llevarse bien/mal con, caer bien/mal)
- Comparison: comparatives
- Prepositions and adverbs: location
- Pronouns: possessive pronouns (el mío, la mía)
- Verb usage: ser and estar
Phonetics
- Sounds: /b/, /d/, /g/ (soft pronunciation)
- Consonant groups
Vocabulary
- Adjectives for physical descriptions; relationships with a partner
- Verbs: ser, tener, llevar; parecerse
- Types of housing; parts of a house
- Adjectives to describe a home; shapes; styles; materials
