...Continue developing your beginner Italian fluency and confidence with our Beginner Italian: A1.3 Course, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner Italian: A1.2 Course or have approximately 40 hours of prior study. This course helps you build stronger communication skills for everyday situations while expanding your understanding of Italian grammar and vocabulary. It is ideal for learners interested in learning Italian for cultural interest or personal enrichment in a supportive and interactive learning environment.
You will practise communication in situations such as booking accommodation, giving and receiving information, describing living spaces, and talking about daily routines and celebrations. Grammar is introduced naturally in context, including key verb forms, time expressions, and possessive structures. Vocabulary and pronunciation are integrated throughout, covering housing, travel, and cultural topics, along with important sound patterns and consonant combinations.

Communication
- Booking a room; asking for a price
- Giving and receiving information
- Talking about furnishings and objects in a room; describing an apartment or rental accommodation
- Complaining; justifying a choice
- Talking about daily life and events; describing festivities and celebrations
- Expressing ownership
Grammar
- Structures: there is / there are; verbs potere, venire
- Prepositions: time (da… a); prepositions with articles
- Interrogatives and adverbs: quanto; adverbs of time and frequency
- Time expressions: days of the week, parts of the day, months, hours
- Verb patterns: idioms with fare; reflexive verbs
- Possession: possessive adjectives
Phonetics
- Sounds: /b/, /k/, /dʒ/, /g/, /p/, /t/, /ts/ (double consonants)
- Sounds: /g/, /gw/, /k/, /kw/ (gh, gu, ch, qu)
Vocabulary
- Rooms and objects in a house
- Types of holiday accommodation
- Ordinal numbers; cardinal numbers after 100
- Festivities and celebrations in Italy
