This 4-week course explores circles and circular elements from those of prehistoric times to later historical and contemporary forms. Participants will be introduced to the ways these forms can be enhanced to create varying shapes to be used in conjunction with a calligraphic script. Experimenting with these, using layout, design and colour, the course will conclude by putting these forms together into individual designs. These designs will then be used to create a small project. The course is designed for those with experience using a broad-edged calligraphy nib and who would like to extend their skills.
