Continue developing your intermediate French fluency and confidence with our Intermediate French: B2.1 Course course, suitable for learners who have completed our Intermediate French: B1 Conclusion course or have approximately 400 hours of prior study. This course helps you strengthen your communication skills for everyday situations while deepening your understanding of French grammar and vocabulary, making it ideal for learners wanting to learn the French language for travel, work, or personal enrichment in a supportive, interactive learning environment.
You will learn to talk confidently about your studies and professional experience, give and understand advice, highlight and value past experiences, write a formal letter, and understand different work contexts and specialities. Grammar and vocabulary are taught in context, including the use of past and future tenses, linking words to structure ideas, advice-giving structures, the relative pronoun où for referring to time and place, and the gerund and present participle to express ongoing or simultaneous actions. Phonetics is integrated throughout, with focused practice on distinguishing passé composé, imparfait, and conditionnel, and using emphasis to stress key information.
