Using news reports, interviews, podcasts, and articles, learners will practise understanding natural spoken French, expand their vocabulary, and build confidence expressing ideas, opinions, and reactions in extended discussion. Suitable for learners who have at least 450-500 prior hours of French learning.

COURSE OUTLINE

Topics vary according to current events and participant interests, ensuring sessions remain relevant and stimulating from sources such as:

  • Television news and reports
  • Radio and podcasts
  • Press articles and opinion pieces
  • Interviews and debates
  • Participant-selected news items

Throughout the course, learners will also have an opportunity to present to their classmates a subject of their choice.
