- Integrated discussion of the speech's structure and the play’s myth, in social and cultural contexts.

- Read and understand unabridged passages of Euripides’ play.
- Discuss the social and cultural contexts of ancient Greek tragedy.
- Read and understand Lysias' speech 12.
- Discuss court procedures and cultural practices in Ancient Athens.
