Just an hour north of Sydney, Brooklyn sits between the Hawkesbury River and Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park in a setting where transport history, natural beauty and local stories meet. This course explores the town’s significance through its bridge, railway and river connections.

You’ll hear about the railway bridge that helped pave the way to Federation, major rail disasters, surprising local identities and Brooklyn’s place in Australian screen history. The walk begins with a bus ride to Kangaroo Point before returning along the riverside into the heart of town.
