You will practise communication in situations such as talking about future plans, making predictions, telling stories, and summarising books or films. Grammar is introduced in context, including future tense forms, conditional structures, connectors, and pronoun usage. Vocabulary is expanded across topics such as science, technology, and entertainment, supporting more nuanced and engaging communication.

  • Telling stories in the present tense
  • Summarising the plot of a book or film; understanding jokes

Grammar

  • Conditional structures: first conditional (if + present indicative, future simple)
  • Future forms: future simple tense
  • Probability expressions: seguramente, seguro que, probablemente + future
  • Expressions: cada vez más / menos
  • Time expressions
  • Connectors for narration: (y) entonces, al final, de repente, de pronto…
  • Conjunctions: porque, como, pero, aunque, sin embargo
  • Pronouns: direct and indirect object pronouns (lo, la, los, las, le, les)

Vocabulary

  • Challenges of the future
  • Science and technology
  • Genres (film, television, literature)
  • Vocabulary related to cinema, literature, and entertainment
  • Verbs related to speaking (contar, narrar…)
