"I took possession of this isle and named it Norfolk Isle in honour of that noble family" (an entry from James Cook's journal) - Norfolk Island played a large part in Australia’s early colonial history. This tropical Island was a penal settlement as well as being home to the descendants of the Bounty mutineers. We explore the geography and history of the island.
