Continue developing your beginner Latin knowledge and confidence with our Beginner Latin: Course 3, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner Latin: Course 2 or have approximately 40 hours of prior study. This course helps you build your ability to read and understand Latin texts while expanding your knowledge of core grammatical structures and vocabulary. It is ideal for learners interested in learning Latin for cultural interest or personal enrichment in a supportive and interactive learning environment.
You will work with longer adapted texts covering a wider range of topics and descriptions. Grammar focuses on expanding the verb system to include passive forms, deponent and irregular verbs. Syntax introduces participles, passive constructions, and comparative structures, while vocabulary develops through thematic areas such as political life, emotions, and descriptive language.
