Please note that there will be no session for 9th June as it is a public holiday.

This continuation course from Latin Beginners 3 is for any student wishing to consolidate the verbal system and other minor grammatical features, for the purposes of reading and understanding the literature of an ancient culture with at least approximately 60 hours of prior knowledge needed. In addition, students may begin to tackle simple extracts from original Latin literature, both from prose and poetry. Apart from linguistic work, students will explore in greater depth, how a knowledge of Latin can help their understanding of modern institutions, including political, religious, social and philosophical thought.
