Manuscripts through the ages have been embellished with decorated letters of various shapes and sizes which correspond with the writing styles of the period. They will add not only interest, but also a sparkle to your calligraphy. There is a large variety of styles to choose from and we will explore not only traditional examples, but also modern versions, and then experiment with designing some of your own. Using decorated letters of your choice, combined with their relevant script, you will create short texts to be displayed in a book, made by using a piano-hinge technique.
