Christine Gietz (PhD - Education) has tutored at WEA Sydney since 2012 and was its Education Manager from 2021 to 2025. In 2024 she was runner-up for Community Colleges Australia's Trainer of the Year. She also tutors at The University of Notre Dame in the School of Education where she recently completed her PhD. As a tutor at WEA, she has a passion for teaching poetry, Shakespeare and journal writing. As a tutor at university she is enthusiastically engaged in teaching academic writing and the foundations for teaching. She believes that teaching is both a privilege and a joy and it is this sense of joy in discovery and learning which she hopes to convey to her students.
