Whether you are looking to follow-up what you learned in the 'Intro to Online Shopping and Banking Part 1' workshop with some hands-on activities, or perhaps you already have a basic understanding of online shopping and billing and want to see how they work and what you need to get set up before deciding to use them at home, then this is the workshop for you.

In this intermediate workshop you will learn how to:

  • pay bills online, either through a biller’s site or through net banking
  • understand the benefits of online banking and shopping
  • take precautions to stay safe online
  • buy and sell items on eBay

To attend this workshop you must have at least basic skills on the device you will be bringing to the class.

Please note you must bring your own fully charged device, charger, a notepad and pen. Courses will be held at WEA House, with no more than 10 participants per class.

The Tech Savvy Seniors program is for seniors aged 60 years and above, and Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander elders aged 50 years and above in NSW who:

  •  Have little or no experience in using technologies
  •  Require additional skills and confidence to use and adapt to new technologies

This program (held in partnership with the NSW Government and Telstra) delivers government-funded digital literacy training to seniors so they can develop the skills and confidence to access information and services online, or connect with family and friends.
