Continue developing your beginner Swedish fluency and confidence with our Beginner Swedish: A1.2 Course, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner Swedish: A1.1 Course or have approximately 20 hours of prior study. This course helps you strengthen your communication skills for everyday situations while deepening your understanding of Swedish grammar and vocabulary. It is ideal for learners interested in learning Swedish for cultural interest or personal enrichment in a supportive and interactive learning environment.
You will practise communication in situations such as shopping, ordering food, discussing leisure activities, and talking about family and daily routines. Grammar is introduced naturally through these interactions, including modal verbs, present and past tenses, adjective agreement, and key sentence structures. Vocabulary and phonetics are integrated throughout, including everyday topics such as food, shopping, and relationships, as well as the pronunciation of key Swedish vowel sounds and stress patterns.

- Tense forms: present; future (ska + infinitive); past (preterite)
- Word order: position of adverbials
- Structures: tycker om (att) constructions
- Adjectives: forms, agreement, and predicative adjectives
- Verb groups: Swedish verb group patterns
Phonetics
- Sounds: vowels /o/, /å/, /a/, /i/, /y/, /u/ (key vowel distinctions)
