Morning Yoga

Experience an in-depth introduction to yoga incorporating postures, breathing techniques, meditation and deep relaxation, based on the teaching styles of the Satyananda Yoga and International Yoga Teachers' Associations. Please wear comfortable clothing and bring your own mat.

  • A brief introduction to the history and philosophy of yoga
  • Yoga postures for stretching and strengthening different parts of your body.
  • Breathing techniques.
  • 5 minutes deep relaxation practice.
  • Awareness techniques for focusing and calming the mind.
  • Hints on how to apply these techniques in everyday life.

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

1. Apply a number of yogic techniques in everyday life and at work.
2. Utilise relaxation techniques at appropriate times.
3. Experience the joy of stretching and relaxing the body.
