Experience an in-depth introduction, incorporating postures, breathing techniques, meditation and deep relaxation, based on the teaching styles of the Satyananda Yoga and International Yoga Teachers' Associations. Please wear comfortable clothing.


  • A brief introduction to the history and philosophy of yoga

In each session we will cover the following:

  • Yoga postures for stretching and strengthening different parts of your body.
  • Breathing techniques.
  • 5 minutes deep relaxation practice.
  • Awareness techniques for focusing and calming the mind.
  • Hints on how to apply these techniques in everyday life.

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Apply a number of yogic techniques in everyday life and at work.
  2. Utilise relaxation techniques at appropriate times.
  3. Experience the joy of stretching and relaxing the body.
