Continue developing your beginner Italian fluency and confidence with our Beginner Italian: A2.3 Course, suitable for learners who have completed our Beginner Italian: A2.2 Course course or have approximately 140 hours of prior study. This course helps you build stronger communication skills for everyday situations while expanding your understanding of Italian grammar and vocabulary. It is ideal for learners interested in learning Italian for cultural interest or personal enrichment in a supportive and interactive learning environment.
You will practise communication in situations such as expressing satisfaction or disappointment, asking for information, interacting on social media, and discussing food and travel. Grammar is introduced naturally in context, including past tense usage, imperative forms, and verb structures for expressing needs. Vocabulary and pronunciation are integrated throughout, covering travel, food, and everyday communication.

COURSE OUTLINE
Communication
- Showing willingness to listen; expressing satisfaction with a proposal
- Voicing surprise and disappointment; finding out about something
- Inquiring about the duration of a journey; interacting on social media
- Expressing needs and opinions
- Talking about food and eating habits; commenting on the taste of food
Grammar
- Past tenses: imperfect of volere; present perfect and imperfect of sapere and conoscere; usage of present perfect vs imperfect
- Verb forms: volerci; servire
- Mood: imperative (tu) – irregular and negative forms
- Pronoun structures: pronouns with the imperative
Vocabulary
- Travel: il viaggio, andare in vacanza, types of holidays
- Food and culture: dieta mediterranea, buon appetito!
- Expressions: serve / servono; quello che; volerci
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of this course, students should be able to:
