Build confidence and fluency in spoken advanced French through intensive practice and guided debates on contemporary French life and culture. Each session introduces key vocabulary and argumentative language, followed by structured conversations and debates around a theme with targeted grammar support helping learners express increasingly complex ideas in French. Suitable for advanced (B2+) learners with at least 500 hours of recent prior French learning required.

COURSE OUTLINE

Themes are explored through interactive conversation and debate activities, including:

• Everyday life in France
• Social and cultural practices
• Contemporary issues in French society
• Perspectives relevant to travellers and residents
• Cross-cultural comparisons

For each theme, students will develop:

• Thematic vocabulary
• Debate and opinion language (expressing, justifying, counter-arguing)
• Relevant advanced grammar (review and extension)
