This course is an intensive introduction to French for any student wishing to learn the language for business, travel or everyday use with at least 20 hours of French required. Students will develop skills to use in conversation, reading, listening and writing. This intensive course aims to build general basic comprehension and communication skills in beginners French and an introduction to cultural practices, with a focus on clear explanation of basic language principles.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  2. Ask someone for his/her personal information (phone, email, postal address)
  3. Give information about their city and country, name and locate places in a town
  4. Select a mode of transport and find their way around (understand directions)
  5. Obtain information about local accommodation
