Print this page Australian Women's History in the City: A Walking Tour
Available Classes
Join professional Tour Guide Jo Henwood as she reveals the stories of significant but often-forgotten women who changed our lives as we walk the Sydney CBD. There are few statues or plaques to women in Sydney so these women – lawyers, politicians, bankers, businesswomen, and many others - are easy to forget but by walking past their relevant sites your perspective on women’s history (and our city) will be transformed.
This walk will go ahead whatever the weather, except where the guide deems there to be a threat to health and safety. In this situation you will be contacted with an alternative date. Please ensure your mobile phone number is up-to-date with WEA before enrolling and ensure that you have it with you on the day in case the tutor needs to contact you.
