Juan Carlos has a Master of Applied Linguistics and is currently completing a Doctor of Philosophy. With a Spanish background, he is also a speaker of French and German. Before moving to Australia, he worked as a French teacher for Alliance Francaise and the Office of Linguistic Services of the French Embassy, in South and Central America. He also taught Spanish in Stuttgart, Germany, while he was studying a Master of Science.

In Australia he has been a language tutor for Sydney University, Macquarie University and is currently a part of the Spanish teaching staff at UTS. Juan Carlos is passionate about languages. In addition to English, Spanish, French and German, he also speaks Italian, Portuguese and some Russian, Modern Greek and Japanese. He combines his knowledge of linguistics and world culture with a good dose of sense of humour for delivering motivating and animated classes.
