Paul has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Sydney, majoring in Ancient History and Near Eastern archaeology, and a PhD in molecular biology from the Australian National University. He has a keen interest in both these disciplines, participated on archaeological excavations in Israel, and been part of science research teams conducting projects using the techniques of genetic engineering. Paul provides handouts with all his courses, which he conducts with enthusiasm based on his desire to convey knowledge.
