Ian holds a BA, Grad Dip Ed, MA/PhD (Ancient History), MA (Orthodox Christian Theology), and MA (International Relations). He has been a university tutor of Byzantine history, a high school teacher of history and world religions, and a peripatetic teacher of violin and guitar. Ian is a keen student of European philosophy, Christian theology, and international politics (especially in relation to Russia, its “Near Abroad”, and the former Eastern Bloc).
