Unrecognised Statelets in Europe and the Caucasus
There are a number of unrecognised statelets in Europe and the Caucasus: Transnistria, Donetsk People's Republic, Luhansk People's Republic, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, South Ossetia, Northern Cyprus, Nagorno-Karabach, Abkhazia and others. These unresolved conflicts envelope many countries: Russia, Turkey, Armenia, Greece, Cyprus, Moldavia, Georgia, the US and the European Union. This lecture will provide an outline of the current state of affairs in these places, identify major stakeholders and provide an outline of the strategic interests involved.
