The Sacred and the Profane

The sacred and the profane, and the complex relationship between the two, are dynamic and thought-provoking features of contemporary life and experience. Their points of intersection can be dramatic, revelatory, formative or transformative. We look at the question of what the sacred and the profane are, the nature of their interactions and some prominent forms not just in philosophy and religion, but also in relation to the sciences, technology, modern culture and the arts.

This class will be delivered face-to-face at WEA Sydney. Enrolling students need to ensure they have read the current COVID-19 Safety Guidance that WEA Sydney has put in place before enrolling.
