Discovering the Beauty of Mathematics

Paradoxically, mathematics, although understood as an important tool in science, technology and everyday life, is often considered to be a difficult and unpleasant subject. Romanian mathematician Grigore Moisil said, “A mathematician is concerned with mathematics because she sees something beautiful in it, something interesting which she likes, which makes her think and which carries her away. Imagination is a source of information itself.” Use your imagination to find the beauty of mathematics in objects and phenomena you possibly haven’t associated with mathematics before!

This class will be delivered online via the online platform Zoom. Enrolling students need to ensure they have an email, a reliable internet connection, microphone/speakers and access to a tablet, smartphone or computer.
