The Great Voyage of Ferdinand Magellan

There is no doubt that the greatest voyage in western maritime history is the first circumnavigation of the world by Ferdinand Magellan and Juan Sebastian Elcano. Five vessels, all painted black, and known as the 'Armada de Moluccas' departed Spain in August 1519 seeking to find a route around South America to the Pacific Ocean and then to the valuable clove trees of the Spice Islands located in Eastern Indonesia.

This class will be delivered face-to-face at WEA Sydney. Enrolling students need to ensure they have read the current COVID-19 Safety Guidance that WEA Sydney has put in place before enrolling.
