Module 1: Design Workplace Learning

This qualification reflects the roles of individuals delivering training and assessment services in the vocational education and training (VET) sector. It is also suitable preparation for those engaged in the delivery of training and assessment of competence in a workplace context, as a component of a structured VET program. This qualification consists of 10 units of competency. Further details can be found at

WEA Sydney will deliver this qualification in three Modules. Please note that commencement of this course may be delayed until minimum class enrolment numbers are met.

$990 (cost of textbook is included in price). The course fee is set up so you pay $330 initially, and then two further payments of $330 throughout the course schedule.

A Learner will be required to provide a USI in order to participate in assessments.

To participate in assessment, candidates will be required to produce valid official photo identification such as:

  • Driver’s Licence
  • RMS Photo ID Card

No Photo ID = No Statement

MODULE 1 – Design & LLN

  • TAEDES401 Design and develop learning programs
  • TAEDES402 Use training packages and accredited courses to meet client needs
  • TAELLN411 Address adult language, literacy and numeracy skills


  • Learn about the Australian VET Framework
  • Design courses by unpacking training packages according to qualification rules and clients' needs
  • Work with learners of different LLN skills and then plan your training by designing learning programs, session plans and resources in an inclusive environment based on national benchmarks

This course is suitable for:

  • Someone intending to deliver training in an AQF qualification in an RTO
  • Persons who train others in the workplace
  • Those who deliver either accredited or non-accredited training and / or assessment to both groups and / or individuals
  • People who coach or mentor others
Assessments are made against units of competency from the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116.
