The course assumes you have completed approximately 190 hours tuition in Spanish. This course is for students who need to communicate with some fluency in Spanish. It is also designed for people working in the local tourist industry who need to communicate effectively with Spanish clients. Students will have the opportunity to focus on specific skills, such as extending vocabulary in given areas, improving written language, and developing a better understanding of specific cultural and social issues relevant to the tourist industry. Most of the class is conducted in Spanish; conversation is the focal point of the first part of the lesson while the second part introduces new areas of grammar and vocabulary.
