...Continue your advanced Spanish learning journey with our Advanced Spanish: C1 Course, suitable for learners who have approximately 500 hours of prior study. This course is designed for learners who readily demonstrate a solid level of C1 Spanish and are able to function independently and confidently in a wide range of contexts in any Spanish-speaking country, capable of handling complex language, abstract ideas, and nuanced communication. The course focuses on maintaining and further refining advanced language competence, with particular attention to precision, flexibility, and appropriateness of expression. Learners engage with a broad range of authentic spoken and written materials, developing their ability to interpret implicit meaning, manage extended conversation, and adapt language use across social, cultural, academic, and professional situations.

COURSE OUTLINE
- Ongoing consolidation and refinement of C1-level Spanish grammatical structures, with emphasis on accuracy, variation, and stylistic control
- Advanced listening and reading practice using Spanish texts featuring complex argumentation, abstract concepts, implicit meaning, and diverse perspectives
- Systematic expansion and active use of a wide lexical range, including idiomatic expressions, collocations, and register-sensitive language
- Sustained practice in extended spoken interaction and production, including discussion, debate, presentation, and spontaneous response
- Development of advanced written production skills, focusing on coherence, cohesion, argumentation, and stylistic appropriateness
- Exploration of contemporary cultural, social, intellectual, and global themes as a basis for critical engagement and advanced language use
LEARNING OUTCOMES
By the end of the course, students should be able to:
- Understand and critically analyse extended spoken and written texts at C1 level Spanish, including those that are conceptually complex, densely structured, or contain implicit meanings and nuanced viewpoints
- Express themselves fluently, spontaneously, and precisely in sustained spoken interaction, adapting register, tone, and style appropriately to context and purpose
- Produce clear, well-structured, and detailed spoken and written texts on complex topics, demonstrating a high degree of grammatical control, lexical flexibility, and effective use of discourse markers
