The ancient city of Salzburg is famously connected to Mozart as well as the esteemed annual music festival, which began officially in 1920. From the podium, famous conductors have produced wonderful orchestral and operatic repertoire, aided by equally famous performers. The list is truly impressive. We shall see and hear some of the performers of 2017 as well as significant conductors as we examine the history of the festival.

  • Performers 2017. This topic will take three sessions. Anne-Sophie Mutter. Brendel. Barenboim. Algerich.
