Sydney Discovery Walks - Sandstone West Walk

West of George Street are some stately sandstone buildings, plus other heritage listed office buildings, as well as hotels, parks, and statues connecting Church Hill at the northern end of York St with St. Andrew’s Cathedral. It is easy to spend two hours along this stretch of city street which most people dash through. Be prepared to discover new things you may have seen a thousand times, but never consciously noticed. Meet at the corner of York and Lang Streets, entrance of Lang Park (opp. St. Phillip’s Church) 10 minutes before the tour starts so it can commence on time.

This walk will go ahead whatever the weather, except where the guide deems there to be a threat to health and safety. In this situation you will be contacted with an alternative date. Please ensure your mobile phone number is up-to-date with WEA before enrolling and ensure that you have it on the day in case the tutor needs to contact you.
