Raphael - A Re-Evaluation

One of the supreme artists of the Renaissance, Raphael’s work has assumed iconic status as the ideal expression of classicism in the 500 years since his death. We present an overview of his achievement – assessing his life, personality and his artistic work within the context of the lively Renaissance societies in which he lived in Urbino, Florence, and at the papal court in Rome.
