This course is intended for people who need to prepare electronic presentations in the delivery of presentations. It will cover basic skills and knowledge required to use PowerPoint 2013 to create simple workplace documents.


Please note: This training will be delivered in a computer room in a Microsoft Windows 10 environment – we do not provide Mac courses.


PRE-REQUISITES
Basic knowledge of PC computer environment, basic keyboard skills and competency in the use of a mouse


LEARNING PATHWAY
The learning pathway shall consist of face-to-face delivery of 6 hours involving class room demonstrations; discussions; practical tasks; group activities; Q & A and one-on-one support


PLANNED LEARNING OUTCOMES
Upon the completion of this training, students will be able to:

  1. Prepare to create presentation: ergonomics; determine purpose of presentation, identify presentation requirements; apply work organisation strategies
  2. Create presentation: design slides, notes, handouts masters using image and preferred style; use software functions for consistency design and layout; balance presentation features for visual impact and emphasis; streamline and customise presentation for different audiences
  3. Finalise presentation: use manuals, user documentation and online help to overcome problems with design and production; check presentation for spelling, consistency in features and style; print presentation according to requirements; store presentation
