Explore Norway’s western fjords, sailing on the world famous Hurtigruten line from Bergen to Kirkenes. Travel across the land of the Vikings, Norse raiders who terrified the people of the southern lands between 800 – 1066 AD. As well as visiting the cities of Oslo and Bergen we look at Norwegian culture and follow the old Pilgrims' route along St. Olav’s Way from Oslo to Trondheim. We attend a Viking feast and explore the Norse Myths.

  • SESSION 2: VIKINGS IN ENGLAND AND FRANCE) - Timeline of the Vikings, Olaf Haraldsson (Olaf II – St. Olaf), Battle of Stiklestad, Harald Sigurdsson (Hardrada), Battle of Stamford Bridge
  • SESSION 3: PILGRIMS ON ST. OLAV’S WAY - We journey from Oslo to Trondheim, Crossing the Dovrefjell
  • SESSION 4: THE HURTIGRUTEN CRUISE - We sail from Bergen to Kirkenes, Viking Feast, Arctic Circle Baptism
  • Norway – landscape and cities.
  • Oslo, Bergen, Alesund.
