Japanese Intermediate 2

This is a continuing course for students who wish to pursue their study of Japanese intermediate level. This course is designed to enable students who worked through Japanese for Busy People 1 and 2 to complete their mastery of beginning Japanese and progress smoothly into the intermediate level. In this course, students will have the opportunity to focus on specific skills, such as extending vocabulary, phrases, expressions in given areas, improving reading and writing skills, and developing a better understanding of specific cultural and social issues. This course will allow you to practice and improve your speaking and listening skills in Japanese through a wide variety of activities. It is assumed that students with have 200+ hours of prior learning.

PLANNED LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

  1. Communicate in fluent Japanese, in particular to give assistance, direction and instructions to Japanese tourists.
  2. Exhibit the skills, vocabulary and study attitude required for continued study of Japanese at an advanced level.

LANGUAGE CLASS TRANSFER POLICY

If you are a new WEA Student and enrol into a language class and subsequently find that you are at the wrong level (whether too high or too low), you are permitted to transfer into another more suitable class at no additional cost, provided that the request is made within the first two classes and is in writing from your tutor directly to the Education Manager. After that point, an administration fee of $30 will apply.
