Italian Advanced 3 (B1)

This level assumes you have completed approximately 200 hours tuition and you are acquainted with the content of Unit 3 and 4 of the main text book Nuovo Espresso 3. The communicative and grammatical aspects are integrated in every lesson; conversation and oral drills are integral to the course.

CLASS PLAN
Nine Sessions that aim to build high level comprehension and communication skills in advanced Italian.


CONTENT
Conversational Italian and a review of cultural practices, with a focus on clear explanation of higher level language principles.

PLANNED LEARNING OUTCOMES

  1. Can understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc.
  2. Can deal with most situations likely to arise whilst travelling in an area where the language is spoken.
  3. Can produce simple connected text on topics which are familiar or of personal interest.
  4. Can describe experiences and events, dreams, hopes & ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.


IMPORTANT: Textbook cost is not included in the course fee. In the event of a course being cancelled WEA cannot be held responsible for the purchase of any textbooks. We therefore suggest you purchase your textbooks closer to the time of the course commencing.

LANGUAGE CLASS TRANSFER POLICY
If you are a new WEA Student and enrol into a language class and subsequently find that you are at the wrong level (whether too high or too low), you are permitted to transfer into another more suitable class at no additional cost, provided that the request is made within the first two classes and is in writing from your tutor directly to the Education Manager. After that point, an administration fee of $30 will apply.
